Jeremy Clarkson revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer during the final episodes of the 5th season of his reality show, Clarkson’s Farm.
The British journalist and presenter, who gained worldwide fame as the host of the motoring program “Top Gear” (1988–2015), spoke openly about his prostate cancer diagnosis, which, according to him, is aggressive but was discovered at an early stage.
According to some reports, Clarkson, 66, was direct and objective when telling his co-stars Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland about his illness.
“I disappeared last week and had a biopsy. It’s cancer, and it’s aggressive, but it’s still early,” he said, adding that he had known about the diagnosis for some time.
The former “Grand Tour” host also revealed that he would have to undergo surgery in the following weeks and that, because of this, he would be a little “out of action.”

“I’m not stupid, it’s going to be in about two weeks, maybe three. I’m going to have to have surgery, and then, the operation is very quick, but your body is out of action for a little while,” he told his friends.
Clarkson appears later in the episode in a hospital bed, saying that the treatment had gone as expected, but still apprehensive: “I’ll be here for a while. I don’t know what’s going to happen.”
Last week, in a post on his Instagram page, Clarkson warned viewers of the reality show, before the release of the final episodes, that they would be “very, very difficult” to watch.
“Normally, we try to keep the series bucolic, charming and cheerful, but the last two episodes, which will be released in the middle of tonight… are none of those things,” he says in the clip shared with his fans.
